Actual problems in profession of curators for children and youth in České Budějovice
HUNČOVSKÁ, Jana
This thesis deals with the current problems in the activities of curators for children and youth at OSPOD in České Budějovice. The aim of this work is to describe the curators' activities and to map out the problems accompanying them. In order to find out the results, I have chosen two research questions, which are the problems that the curators of children and youth in their work feel the most burdensome and what solutions do these respondents consider most suitable. In the theoretical part are evaluated the frequent problems of children and youth, which curators deal with. In addition, this section describes the curator's work and describes the services and projects in which they are involved. The own research part consists of qualitative research and the method of structured interviews with open questions through which interviews with OSPOD staff are analyzed. Research has found that the biggest problems faced by workers include the lack of facilities for addicted children, the lack of time for social workers, a lot of administration and the lack of information of the public. Based on the findings of the research, measures have been proposed that could help to mitigate some curatorial problems. Measures that could improve the work of curators include educating the public, creating facilities to work with addicted children, and employing a worker to work with non-profit organizations that would actively engage with children.

Antošová, Iva ; Čablová, Lenka (advisor) ; Nevoralová, Monika (referee)
Alcohol use among children and adolescents has recently been understood as a serious and escalating problem throughout the whole society. Children begin to consume alcohol from an increasingly earlier age. They gradually start to use alcohol regularly, which leads to consumption of excessive use of alcohol. The theme of this thesis is how a family communication can affect the incidence of alcohol use among children and adolescents. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the term communication, from specific types of communication, communication patterns to the family communication itself. It gives a summary of risk and protective factors influencing alcohol use among children and adolescents as well as of factors predicting alcohol use among children and adolescents at the level of the family system, including specification of the family communication factor. The second part of the theory contains a chapter of prevalence and prevention and it maps patterns of alcohol use among children and adolescents as well as possible association with the communication factor. The main target of this thesis is to provide a systematic review of the results of studies published in 2000 - 2014, which follow up the connection between the family communication factor and development of alcohol use among children...

TEPLÁ, Simona
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to map the problems of using socially tolerated addictive substances (alcohol, tobacco, medicines misuse, caffeine, anabolic substances) by children at basic schools and to find out differences or similarities between children living in the countryside and children living in the town, in term of their preference and attitude to the addictive substances. This thesis also verifies two specified hypotheses. To collect data was used the questionnaire given pupils of the ninth grades in the basic schools. Nowadays the risk of using addictive substances is still increasing. This bachelor thesis can be used as an information source of the actual state of using addictive substances and can be also helpful for providing effective prevention.
